How MemberTape collects and presents data

Sources

• Whop's public API (no account, no key): the list of products listed on the marketplace; product details (plans, prices, billing periods, affiliate program terms); store details, including the member count each store publishes; and published reviews (star rating, date, whether the reviewer paid).
• Public product pages on whop.com: the marketplace category of a product, and a fallback when the API does not return a value.
• Whop's public “newest products” feed, to pick up new listings between daily scans.

We read only what anyone can open without signing in. Products that are hidden, private, or available only by direct link or on their own store page without being listed on the marketplace are not tracked.

How often

• The full marketplace list: once a day. Every product gets a dated record whenever its price, rating, review count or affiliate terms change; the most-followed products get a record every day.
• New products: every 3 hours from the newest-products feed.
• Store member counts and product details: daily for the most-followed products (for example, at least 100 reviews), every 3 days for the next tier, less often for the rest.
• Reviews: new reviews are added daily for products with a data card; each product is fully re-read weekly.

Every page shows when its data was last updated. A product is marked delisted after it is absent from two consecutive full scans of the marketplace; its card stays online with the history we recorded, and they will be listed on a separate page once there are any.

What is measured and what is an estimate

• As reported on Whop (not verified by us): prices, plans, star ratings, review counts and store member counts.
• Member counts are store-level. Whop publishes one number per store, not per product; a store with several products shows the same number on each card. “—” means not measured yet or not disclosed by the store.
• Estimates derived from our snapshots: growth rates, the GROWING / FLAT / DECLINING stamps (±3% change in store members over 90 days, shown only after 30 days of history), category percentiles and medians, and review-based signals such as how long after purchase buyers leave reviews.
• Charts appear once 7 days of history exist; before that a card says from which date history is available instead of drawing a line from too few points.
• Rankings and lists (most reviewed, alternatives, similar products) are ordered by data only — reviews, store size, dates. Whether we earn from a link never changes the order or which products are shown.

What we do not do

• We do not buy, join or test the products, and we do not judge their content.
• We do not copy review texts or reviewer details; only counts, ratings and dates are used.
• We do not guess why a product was delisted or a price changed; we show what changed and when.
• We do not sell placement. Sellers cannot pay to appear, rank higher or change their data.
• No tracking scripts, no cookies, no paywall and no signup.
